The INSN consists of researchers exploring the connections between
society and the possible upcoming changes provided by nanotechnology
research. The members represent 37 institutions from 11 countries.

INSN research will be conducted within six tightly linked metathemes.
There will topics such as convergence and innovation that cut across
these metathemes.

The meetings of the INSN are often held in conjunction with other
meetings that INSN members will be attending. There also will be
research meetings of network to discuss results of collaborative

The INSN will be administered by a three groups; CSPO at Arizona State University, NanoNed at the University of Twente, and IEPPP at Lancaster University.
Groups or individuals from other institutions will make up the majority
of the population of the Network.

Saudi Arabia to fund separate women’s nanotechnology: Nanotech:
As part of the government’s drive to empower women, a scientific
research center will be established in Riyadh with modern facilities for
nanotechnology, biotechnology and information technology. The woman’s
educational center will be the first of its kind in the Kingdom.
